  • Part time (0.8 FTE), fixed term role
  • Parkville location, with multiple public transport options available.
  • $66,676 - 73,811 (pro rata for part time) + salary packaging + super + weeks annual leave

About the department

The Perioperative Service at the Women’s Hospital incorporates all aspects involved in surgical intervention for patients. The following departments are included: Pre-Admission Triage, Surgical Pre-Admission clinic, Elective Surgery Booking Office, Anaesthetic Department, Acute Pain Service, Day Surgery Unit / Day Procedure Centre, Operating Theatre and Sterile Processing Service

About the role

As an Ward Clerk you will be responsible for the provision of customer service and administration services for the Women’s. 

A regular day will see you:

    • Front of house customer service for patients and their support people, staff and visiting specialists;
    • Clerical admission for all perioperative surgery
    • Answering all incoming calls & queries; maintaining privacy and confidentiality
    • Ensuring post-operative appointments are made in line with policy
