About the team
Health Information Services (HIS) at the Women's covers a range of services including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) support, clinical coding, statutory reporting and data integrity, medical enquiries/release of information (ROI) requests, and the retrieval of historic medical records for research. The HIS Clerical Team process many varied tasks, all of which support patient care and organisational workflows.
About the role
As an Senior HIS Clerk you will assist in the coordination of the Clerical Team, ensuring all day-to-day tasks are performed promptly and accurately. You will work closely with the HIS Team Leader to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
A regular day will see you:
- Liaising with the HIS Team Leader to plan the day ahead, and supporting clerical staff as required and assisting in task completion
- Assisting in complex tasks such as EMR chart corrections and EMR document deficiency follow up
- Performing workflow reviews to identify areas of potential improvement
- Stepping into the role of Clerical Team Leader as required
About you
We are looking for a friendly, organised, and enthusiastic person to join our team.

- Previous experience in staff management and implementation of quality improvement activities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a positive and friendly attitude
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with ability to escalate problems as necessary
- The ability to read and understand electronic dashboard information and written reports
