We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Day Surgery Unit/ Day. Procedure Centre in a part-time capacity. This is a great opportunity for those who would like to work in a dynamic friendly team environment.

The Perioperative Service at the Women’s Hospital incorporates all aspects involved in surgical intervention for patients. The following departments are included: Pre-Admission Triage, Surgical Pre-Admission clinic, Elective Surgery Booking Office, Anaesthetic Department, Acute Pain Service, Operating Theatre, Day Surgery Unit / Day Procedure Centre, Operating Theatre and Sterile Processing Service.

The following departments are included: Triage, Surgical Pre admission Clinic, Booking Office, Anaesthetic Department, Acute Pain Services, Operating Theatre the Day Surgery Unit and the New Day Procedure Centre.
About the role
As an Registered Nurse you will be responsible for strengthening health outcomes through the provision of safe, quality, holistic and sensitive care, from admission to discharge. They work collaboratively in partnership with patients, consumers and other health professionals.
A regular day will see you:
- Monitor patients by assessing, planning, implementing and re-evaluating their care, leading to exceptional patient experiences.
- Accept accountability for own actions and seek guidance when a situation exceeds experience or knowledge, delegating aspects of care to others as appropriate
- Ensure a safe environment is maintained for patients, visitors and staff by being aware of and involved in Occupational Health & Safety management of the unit
- Participate in formal and informal education and professional development opportunities to maintain registration and to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base
About you
You’ll bring with you:
- An AHPRA registered Nurse
- Experienced in Perioperative, Day Surgery, Anaesthetic Nursing
- Experienced in Women's Health Nursing (desirable)
- Be dedicated to advancing women's health and achieving positive outcomes for our patients
