  • $62,540 + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave

About the team
Pharmacy provides a comprehensive pharmacy service to all patients of the hospital. A high degree of specialised service is provided in clinical areas, medicines information, antimicrobial stewardship, quality use of medicine, research and clinical trials. The Pharmacy team are a passionate, supportive and driven team who work cohesively together to focus on quality patient centred care.

About the role
As a Pharmacy Technician at the Women’s you will provide comprehensive support for the provision of pharmacy services within your remit.  

A regular day will see you:

  • Responsible for organising and co-ordinating of work in the rostered areas in a safe and efficient manner, under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Coordinate and responsible for optimal stock control, assist in stock management and review of relevant procedures.
  • Support dispensing activities, including inpatients, outpatients and discharge medicines.
  • Medicine distribution to ward areas and maintenance medication rooms to comply with legislative requirements.

About you
You will be someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who enjoys working as part of a team committed to excellence in patient care.

You willl bring with you:

  • Certificate III and IV in Health (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) or equivalent.
  • General Pharmacy knowledge and experience relevant to the position
  • Attention to detail, well-developed time management and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude and professional manner in keeping with our philosophy of a strong customer/patient focus
