About the Pharmacy Department

Our department provides a comprehensive pharmacy service to all patients of the hospital. A high degree of specialised service is provided in clinical areas, medicines information, antimicrobial stewardship, quality use of medicine, research and clinical trials. We are a passionate, supportive and driven team who works cohesively together to focus on quality patient centred care.

 

About the role

 

As a Clinical Pharmacist at the Women’s you will provide comprehensive pharmacy services to the clinical areas within your remit. 

A regular day will see you:

  • Perform medication reconciliation processes, resolve medication related issues, provide medicine information and counsel patients
  • Ensure appropriate medicine usage through implementation of hospital policy, and through liaison with medical and nursing staff
  • Support training and mentoring program of interns and students

 

About you

 

You will be someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who enjoys working as part of a team committed to excellence in patient care.

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

  • A Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent plus current and full AHPRA registration without restrictions as a Pharmacist
  • General Pharmacy knowledge and experience relevant to the position
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude and professional manner in keeping with our philosophy of a strong customer/patient focus
