  • $133,842 - $150,000 + Salary packaging + Super + 5 weeks annual leave

About Women’s Health

The Women's Health Directorate provides strategic leadership, specialist clinical services and system-wide advocacy to improve health outcomes for women across Victoria. The directorate leads a range of women's health services, programs and reform initiatives and plays a critical role in advancing innovative, evidence-based and equitable models of care. Improving access to timely, coordinated and effective care for women experiencing persistent pelvic pain is a key strategic priority for the Women's.

About the role

Reporting to the Director, Women's Health. As an Project Manager – Women's Pain Reform Program you will lead the establishment, implementation, governance and evaluation of significant statewide women's health reform initiatives. The inaugural program of work includes delivery of two major statewide initiatives:

  • Persistent Pelvic Pain Clinician Advice Service
  • Virtual Post-partum Physiotherapy Program

You will lead complex projects from initiation through to implementation and evaluation, working collaboratively with clinicians, consumers, executive leaders, government stakeholders and health service partners. You will play a critical role in translating policy intent into sustainable models of care that improve outcomes for women across Victoria.  In addition, you will also work closely with Digital Innovation, Information Technology, EMR, Systems Improvement, Data and Analytics, Finance and Workforce teams to support service redesign, digital enablement and delivery of strategic organisational priorities.

A regular day will see you:

  • Leading the planning, implementation and evaluation of major women's health reform initiatives
  • Establishing and managing project governance frameworks, steering committees and advisory groups
  • Delivering projects within approved scope, budget and timelines
  • Developing business cases, executive briefings and strategic recommendations
  • Managing project risks, dependencies and benefits realisation
  • Leading stakeholder engagement, consultation and co-design activities
  • Supporting development of innovative models of care and referral pathways
  • Coordinating digital and virtual care solutions to support new services

About you

You are a highly organised, outcomes-focused project professional with strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills. Comfortable working in ambiguity, you bring strategic thinking, resilience and a collaborative approach to delivering complex initiatives.

You will also have:

  • Significant experience leading complex projects, programs or service improvement initiatives within a healthcare environment
  • Demonstrated success delivering outcomes across multiple competing priorities
  • Strong project management, governance and risk management capability
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders and partners
  • Tertiary qualifications in healthcare, business or a related discipline
