About Food Services

 

Our Food Services department is responsible for providing all patient meals.  Our aim is to ensure that our meals are safe, appropriate for our patient’s needs and served with care.

 

About the role

 

An opportunity exists to join our team of Menu Monitors to cover leave over the next 3 months, involving a range of tasks including:

·         Patient menu collection

·         Menu data entry and ordering

·         Food safety checks

·         Supervising patient meal service

·         Maintaining ward food supplies

·         Administrative and quality activities

This casual Menu Monitor role offers some weekends and both early (06:30 - 15:00) and late (10:30 - 19:00) shifts.  There may be additional shifts offered to cover staff leave.

 

About you

To be successful within this role, you will need to have:

·         Food service experience in health or hospitality

·         Flexibility in working hours

·         Intermediate computer skills, including ability to manage word documents, excel spreadsheets and email

·         Ability to work without supervision as well as part of a team

·         Ability to understand the needs of patients from diverse social, religious and cultural background

·         High level of written and verbal communication skills across multiple levels of an organization
