  • Part time (0.84 FTE per week), ongoing role
  • Parkville location, with multiple public transport options available  
  • $81,364 - $100,146 (pro-rata for part time) + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave

About the team

The Women’s is a tertiary referral center for women with complex needs. The outpatient service accommodates a number of specialist clinics such as gynaecology, abortion and contraception, urogynaecology, menopause, vulva/dermatology, menopause symptoms after cancer clinics, breast, oncology, early pregnancy advisory service, chronic pelvic pain clinic and colposcopy.

The facility also includes the Ambulatory Gynaecology Service which provides minor gynaecology procedures under local anaesthetic, as well as other procedural clinics such as, urodynamic investigation, insertion of contraceptive intrauterine devices and outpatient cystoscopies.

About the role

As an registered nurse you will be responsible for strengthening health outcomes through the provision of safe, quality, holistic and sensitive care, from admission to discharge. You will work collaboratively in partnership with patients, consumers and other health professionals.

A regular day will see you:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients visiting Women’s Health Clinics
  • Assist with the smooth running of clinics
  • Assist with clinical triage to ensure patients are seen in an appropriate time frame and clinic

About you

You’ll bring with you:

  • AHPRA Registration as Division 1 Nurse
  • Minimum of 2 years acute nursing experience with a keen interest in women’s health 
  • Demonstrated understanding of women’s health care within a social model of health
  • Computer literacy
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and time manage
