  • $ 105,684 - $ 116,646 (pro-rata for part time) + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave

About the team

Health Information Services (HIS) at the Women's covers a range of services including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) support, clinical coding, statutory reporting and data integrity, medical enquiries/release of information (ROI) requests, retrieval of historic medical record for research, and medical transcription (outpatient service).

About the role

As an the Data Reporting Manager you will be responsible for the effective management of Statutory Extracts and mandatory reporting across the Women’s and provides expert advice on NWAU (National Weighted Activity Units) to optimize recourse allocation.

A regular day will see you:

  • Lead data integrity and statutory reporting within HIS and the organization.
  • Develop the HIS Data team by setting and tracking performance goals.
  • Coach staff to improve specific behaviors, skills, or knowledge.
  • Testing upgrades and modifications.
  • Managing the Data Team effectively 

About you

You’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Health Information Management or equivalent degree 
  • Demonstrated experience managing health datasets in a hospital or healthcare setting, including familiarity with Victorian datasets (e.g., VAED, VEMD, VINAH).
  • Staff management experience within a medium to large complex health service
  • Ability to interpret data and develop detailed business cases in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, validation, and reporting tools
