About the team

The Finance & Corporate Services Department is responsible for bringing a commercial perspective to business decision making, supporting the Royal Women's business by providing operational and strategic information, expertise and guidance in the areas of finance, risk, procurement, contractual management, payroll, facilities management and strategic asset management.

 About the role

Director Finance – Corporate Services is responsible to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for:

  • Lead the development and implementation of risk management and compliance frameworks to ensure the facilitation of best practice across the organisation.
  • Managing all procurement and contract-related activity, including the management, scheduling and governance of all major tenders.
  • Manage the organisations payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately and in a timely manner, in full compliance with all relevant legislation and Awards.
  • Manage the Private Public Partnership (PPP) Contract and all facilities owned by the organisation
  • Manage & oversee the consolidation of the organisations capital works program to ensure alignment to the organisations strategic asset management plan
  • Influence the growth and development of alternative revenue streams (non-government) and commercial activities of the organisation
  • Making a significant contribution to the strategic direction of the Finance Department

A regular day will see you:

  • Ensuring the payroll, procurement, risk and facilities teams are well supported
  • Work collaboratively with the finance, back-office support and operational teams
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer
  • Actively contribute to solving issues

About you

This role requires a strong leader who can support the functions ongoing work commitments and have a continuous improvement attitude.  We are actively looking for a leader who can work collaboratively across the business, has strong communication skills and a proactive approach to solving problems and developing the teams. 

You’ll bring with you:

  • Strong financial and commercial background with demonstrated experience in payroll, procurement, facilities and risk
  • Experience in continuous process improvement
  • Ability to develop teams culture and productivity
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working with Boards and Senior executives
