Eligibility

The Support Officer positions are only open to current employees of Digital Innovation at The Royal Women’s Hospital (The Women’s) and the Information Management & Communications Technology (IMCT) Department of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac).

About The Digital Innovation Service (DI)

The Digital Innovation Service (DI), hosted by The Women’s, delivers a unified ICT capability across the Parkville Local Health Service Network. DI supports the Women’s, Royal Melbourne Hospital, and Peter Mac, providing shared digital infrastructure, systems, and innovation services that are critical to both clinical and operational performance across the precinct. Collectively, these services support more than 19,000 staff.

Between July 2024 and June 2025, DI managed over 139,000 support tickets, highlighting its essential role in enabling safe, reliable, and connected care.

In addition to core services, DI delivers ICT services under Service Level Agreements to the Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) and provides limited legacy support to Northern Health and Western Health.

We are seeking digital Support Officers with:

  • Hands-on experience supporting digital systems and services in large, complex, multi-site operations.
  • Strong operational discipline, with the ability to follow processes, procedures, and service standards.
  • Customer-centric mindset, providing timey, clear, and empathetic support to end users and stakeholders.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, including triage, root-cause identification and escalation to the right teams.
  • Great organisational and time-management skills, capable of juggling multiple tickets, tasks, and deadlines.
  • Understanding with enterprise strategy and operational delivery.
  • Strong team player working as part of a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in preparing and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Experience working with vendors to ensure successful outcomes.
  • An understanding of commercial considerations in digital operations.
  • A passion for using technology to transform healthcare.
