About the role

This position is responsible in collaboration with the Clinical Directors and Heads of Unit for:

  • Providing high quality outpatient and in-patient Urogynaecology clinical services
  • Participation in the provision of emergency Urogynaecology/Pelvic Floor services to the Royal Women’s
  • Playing an active role in training registrars and resident medical officers and participate in the teaching of medical students and other health care trainees attached to the Women’s’ Services.
  • Assisting the heads of Units with some administrative responsibilities

 

About you

Experience/Qualifications/Competencies/Attributes

The role requires a person with:

  • Eligibility for specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
  • Certificate of Urogynaecology (CU) - highly desirable
  • Proven clinical skills and expertise in Urogynaecological and Pelvic Floor surgery is highly desirable
  • Comprehensive skills and experience in provision of urogynaecological and pelvic floor care
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability in management
  • Demonstrated research skills
  • Knowledge of women's health issues in relation to the target population of RWH
  • Embodies the Women’s values of courage, passion, discovery and respect
  • “Can do” and flexible approach
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Balancing sometimes competing and conflicting priorities
  • Time management and prioritizing

The Classification and Salary scale will be dependent on experience and you will be appointed and in accordance to the Australian Medical Association (Victoria) Medical Specialists Agreement 2022-2026.
