About the team
Established in 2026, the Maternity Services Education Program (MSEP) is a state-wide mobile clinical education program. Our vision is to improve clinical outcomes for women and their babies in rural and regional maternity services through the provision of multidisciplinary education, supportive partnerships and capacity building.
About the role
The role of the MSEP Midwifery Educator will be to work alongside the Midwifery Consultant and clinical leaders (midwifery/medical) to further develop and implement this statewide mobile program.
A regular day will see you:
- Develop resource materials in line with current evidence informed practice.
- Identify measures of success and ensure an evaluation process is in place or negotiated.
- Coordinate the onsite facilitation required for program delivery.
- Maintain ongoing relationship with participant services and the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders and relevant professional bodies.
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic passionate midwife keen to join our team with an interest in improving access to state wide maternity education.
You’ll bring with you:
- Division 1 Nurse endorsed Midwife with a current practicing certificate, or
- Registered Midwife with a current practicing certificate
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in education (or working towards) desirable.
- Previous experience in development and facilitation of maternity emergency education desirable.
