About Clinical Education
The Clinical Education Program supports the Women’s to achieve its strategic directions by providing frameworks for the professional development of health professionals. The Program supports the future nursing and midwifery workforce through coordination of pre-registration, graduate, post graduate and professional development programs.
About the role
As the Clinical Educator – Acute practice and clinical deterioration you will develop and deliver capability, competency and learning frameworks to equip nurses and midwives with the practice capabilities to recognise and respond to complexity and patient deterioration.
Key responsibilities will see you:
- Developing and delivering learning frameworks to build capability in caring for women with acute medical care needs (e.g. complex care beds, Gynaecology/Oncology Ward, Women’s Emergency Care, Birth Centre, Radiology and any other areas where required.
- Developing and delivering The Women’s Adult Basic Life Support/Deteriorating patient competency frameworks (including related interprofessional simulation).
- Developing and delivery of The Women’s preceptorship frameworks.

About you
You will be someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You’ll bring with you:
- AHPRA registration as a Nurse with current and extensive acute care experience
- Willingness to acquire knowledge and skills that responds to changing operational requirements and enhances ability to perform in the Educator role.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in environments of constant change and inspire others
