About the team:

The Allied Health Clinical Education (AHCE) team supports the Women’s in achieving its strategic directions by advancing the professional development of allied health professionals. This is delivered through the design and implementation of an innovative, interprofessional education, training, and simulation program; by strengthening governance and reporting processes; and by leading and supporting allied health research development. The Women’s AHCE program has a strong interprofessional focus, bringing together clinicians from all allied health disciplines.

About the role:

As part of the AHCE, the Clinical Educator (Interprofessional) works with the team to develop, deliver, and evaluate an innovative interprofessional education and training program that meets the unique needs of Allied Health clinicians at the Women’s. Together, the AHCE promotes and supports a culture of learning, reflective practice, and evidence‑based practice grounded in adult learning principles, while embedding strong governance and reporting processes for all education and training activities.

A regular day will see you:

  • Lead and actively contribute to the design, development, and delivery of education, supervision, and research development programs that support interprofessional Allied Health workforce development and wellbeing.
  • Apply adult learning principles and maintain a culturally sensitive approach in the development and delivery of interprofessional Allied Health education, learning, and supervision.
  • Provide support for Allied Health research projects, including preparation of ethics applications, project proposals, data collection and analysis, report writing, and dissemination of findings.
  • Represent the Allied Health Clinical Education team on multidisciplinary committees, working groups, communities of practice, programs, projects, and initiatives across the Women’s and with external partners.

About you:

You will have experience in implementing and managing allied health clinical education and supervision in discipline specific and/or interprofessional contexts. As this position will include a focus in supporting clinical research development, experience in clinical research projects from planning through to research outputs will be valuable. You will bring experience in collaboratively building positive working relationships with key stakeholders to build Allied Health workforce capability.

You’ll bring with you:

  1. An accredited qualification in one of the Allied Health Therapy or Science professions at The Women’s.
  2. Eligibility for professional registration with AHPRA (where required) or appropriate professional body (where applicable).
  3. Relevant experience and/or postgraduate qualifications in clinical education, supervision, or research, aligned with the requirements of the role.
  4. Clinical research experience, including study design, implementation, monitoring, data analysis, and the preparation and dissemination of research findings.
  5. Experience in the development, delivery, and evaluation of high‑quality education and training programs for Allied Health staff.
  6. Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships and negotiate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  7. Working knowledge of interprofessional education, andragogy, and adult learning principles.
