Digital Innovation is seeking an experienced Capability Development Specialist to support staff across the Parkville health services to build the skills and confidence needed to adopt digital tools, automation and new ways of working. Working within the Strategic Automation & Digital Experience team, you will design and deliver engaging learning and capability initiatives that support digital transformation and improve staff experience.
About the role
As an Capability Development Specialist you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting initiatives that build capability and strengthen skills across the Strategic Automation & Digital Experience stream. You will report to the Lead, to ensure that individuals and teams are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and skills necessary to adopt digital and automation solutions effectively. The Specialist works to embed learning frameworks, foster continuous improvement, and enhance organisational digital literacy and capability.
A regular day will see you:
- Design and deliver innovative learning programs, including eLearning, micro-learning, videos, guides and facilitated training.
- Identify capability gaps and develop targeted learning solutions.
- Support training and change activities across digital projects.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop learning resources for enterprise platforms, including Microsoft 365.
- Use feedback, data and adoption measures to evaluate and improve learning outcomes.
About you
You’ll bring with you:
- Experience in learning and development, instructional design, digital capability or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Experience developing digital learning content and resources.
- Excellent facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible learning.
- A collaborative, adaptable and continuous improvement mindset.
