  • Ongoing, full time position (1.0 EFT)– with a monthly ADO, or part time 0.5 EFT
  • Parkville location, with multiple public transport options available  
  • $66,000 - $73,811+ salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave

About the role

As an Allocations Officer you will provide administrative support to clinical areas of Nursing and Midwifery within the hospital, ensuring that day-to-day staffing shortfalls are filled with either permanent or casual bank staff. You will also provide support to all areas of the hospital with filling administration shortfalls with casual administration staff. You'll provide excellent customer service and communicate frequently with Unit Managers/Team Leaders, After Hours Managers, Access Manager and Senior Allocations Officers regarding staffing.

A regular day will see you:

  • Work with various staffing systems to fill staffing deficits across allocate shifts and forward plan re allocation of shifts to fill internal staff vacancies
  • Answer central line for sick calls
  • Assist with aspects of the internal staff recruitment to the casual bank, including requesting contracts, commencing staff on Optima, adding to the distribution lists and allocating training profiles

The operating hours of the department are 6:00am until 8:15pm, with rotating shifts. 

About you

To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:

  • Experience in allocation/rostering of casual staff (desired)
  • Ability to perform administrative/customer service orientated tasks in a high-volume and complex environment
  • Professional manner and experience in forming professional relationships with stakeholders
  • High attention to detail
