About the team
The Maternal and Fetal Medicine Service provides specialised multidisciplinary care for women experiencing complex or high risk pregnancies. The service incorporates the Maternal Medicine Team, Fetal Medicine Unit, Multiple Pregnancy Clinic and other specialist maternity services, bringing together obstetricians, physicians, midwives, sonographers, social workers and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, evidence based care.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team providing administrative support across several specialist maternity services. As the Maternal and Fetal Medicine Teams Administration Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring clinics run efficiently while delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience for women and their families. Working on a rotating Monday to Friday roster, availability to support specialist clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays is essential.
A regular day will see you:
- Coordinating patient bookings, registrations and clinic scheduling across multiple specialist services.
- Providing exceptional reception, telephone and administrative support to women, families and clinicians.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of specialist clinics, ensuring accurate patient records and efficient patient flow.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care pathways and contribute to a positive patient experience.
About you
You are an organised, adaptable and customer-focused administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You thrive on building positive relationships, have excellent attention to detail and enjoy being part of a collaborative team committed to delivering outstanding care.
You'll bring with you:
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative or customer service role.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong computer literacy and data entry accuracy.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A positive, flexible and proactive approach to supporting busy specialist outpatient services.
