The Royal Women’s Hospital (the Women’s) is one of Australia’s oldest and most distinguished tertiary hospitals dedicated to improving health and wellbeing through its specialised services within obstetrics, gynaecology and newborn health. We have strong affiliations to the University of Melbourne, with research and education integral to our role. Our goal is to be the best place to work, learn and contribute, and to provide exceptional experiences for our patients and consumers.

About the role

The Women’s is the tertiary referral centre for high risk obstetric patients in Melbourne, serving patients in the state of Victoria and Australia-wide. The Women’s serves an annual cohort of 80,000 patients, delivering more than 7,000 babies.

The Women’s is accredited for Advanced Training in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. A Clinical Fellowship in Neonatology at the Women’s offers a rounded training experience. It provides a balance between clinical exposure to neonatal intensive care both as the attending physician and in a supervisory capacity, participation in specialist clinics, and time dedicated to quality assurance and improvement activities, teaching and learning, and research.
